Banks Power Products for Volkswagen Diesel Cars

Turbo diesels are not just popular for pick-ups any more. Even though turbo diesels have been around since the late 70’s early 80’s, but until the introduction of Ultra Low Sulfur diesel fuel in 2006 they weren’t very widely known, especially in the United States. Turbo DieselĀ  (TD) cars didn’t pick up popularity until the introduction of the ultra low sulfur diesel in 2006, that’s when manufactures like Volkswagen, Mercedes, and BMW. So now a lot of companies are making more aftermarket products for Turbo Diesel cars and not just pick-ups.

Banks Power Products is one of those companies now, they used to mainly make aftermarket products for diesel pick-ups but even they are starting to expand their interests in TD cars. For the time being Banks only has aftermarket products for the Volkswagen Jetta Turbocharged Diesel Injection (TDI). They offer an amazing exhaust system for your Jetta TDI that will get rid of the stock restrictions. The exhaust system that they offer is the Banks Power Single Monster Exhaust System for a 2009-2010 2.0L Volkswagen TDI. And unlike the stock exhaust system that you have now that has to many restrictions for optimum airflow, and doesn’t allow your Jetta TDI to perform like it should. The Banks Single Monster Exhaust system allows your vehicle to breathe free with little to no restrictions to allow your car to perform like it should and increase your fuel economy at the same time. With no restrictions and increased air flow your Jetta TDI will be much quicker and more importantly allow you to receive more power.

This unfortunately the only exhaust system that Banks offers right now, but soon we don’t know when yet they will be releasing a Sidewinder turbo kit for the Jetta TDI. The kit will include a lot of great Banks products that will make your Jetta TDI, to quote Frank Markus of Motor Trend’s Magazine “A TDI Cup racer for the road”. The kit will include a Banks Ram-Air intake system, a Banks Tuner and the Banks iQ vehicle user interface, and a Banks Stinger exhaust system. One of the reasons why they haven’t released this turbo kit may be because they are still doing testing or maybe even waiting to release the Banks Brick so they can pair it with the Banks iQ, the only ones who know are the ones who work at Banks but they aren’t talking.
